Tips Before Upgrading To Windows 10
1. If your happy with Windows 7 you can stay with it!
Did you know that Windows 7 is officially supported by Microsoft until 2020? If you’re happy with Windows 7 we recommend that you stay with it! Windows 10 is quite a change from Windows 7, so there is a learning curve.
Are you a Windows 8 user? Windows 10 addresses many concerns that users had with Windows 8. If you are a current Windows 8 user, you will likely benefit from upgrading to Windows 10.
2. Upgrade while it’s free (July 29th)
If your determined to upgrade, make sure you do it before July 29th. Microsoft has made Windows 10 available for free only until then.
3. Backup your data
If your committed to upgrading, ensure all your critical data is backed up (pictures, files, and videos). The Windows 10 upgrade process can go wrong and prevent your computer from working in some cases.
4. Be patient
Once you have started the upgrade, be patient as the upgrade can take a few hours. Don’t power off or restart your computer during this time.
5. It might not work
The Windows 10 upgrade process has been known to cause problems and may not complete successfully. While some report a smooth transition, others report crashes and incompatibility issues. If your computer doesn’t work properly after the upgrade, we can help!
